Could anyone recommend to me when I should leave my house (Milford) for a job interview in Stamford? The interview is scheduled for 10. Should I give myself at least 2hrs or more due to rush hour traffic? Thanks!

It depends on the weather but I would give it two hours. Also check the morning traffic reports. It will give you an idea if you should leave even earlier. Anyway you could use the train rather than drive? Jay

Since you have no room to be late, error on the side of caution and leave your house 2.5 hours in advance. During regular rush hour, it could take 1.5 hours to go from Milford to Stamford. Add in drizzle or a vehicle in the breakdown lane and it will definitely take you 2 hours to get there. Since the place where you are interviewing may not be next to the highway, it could take you another 15 minutes to get from 95 to the location. Just remember: if you get there early, don't enter the building more than 15 minutes in advance!

It's crazy how traffic slows things down so much.

With no traffic it takes me 10 minutes to get from Bridgeport to Stamford.

Bridgeport is about 20 miles from Stamford. To do that in 10 minutes you would have to travel at 120 miles per hour. No way is that possible ( or legal for that matter) on I-95. Jay

Were you thinking Bridgeport to Stratford? It is at least 30 minutes to Stamford from Bridgeport without traffic, going about 65-70mph.

You read my mind......I've done it in 20 though (average of 60 mph or so).

I'd worry about taking the Parkway though, when there's an accident traffic comes to a complete standstill!
