If they can ever power wash the whole city everyone would be amazed at the actual architectural details on almost every building... Some of Bridgeport yes has huge crime issues, but look around sometime... Bridgeport was at one time simply lovely.... I hope people keep working to turn Bridgeport around.

Actually his hometown is Kent CT. His time in Providence was strictly during his college years at RISD.

I hear you but the reality is they are all s-holes...every last one of them except Stamford.

As someone said before, Seth McFarlane is from Kent. That said, I giggle when people make fun of the crazies in any city. Doesn't matter if they are from Boston, San Fransisco, Dallas, London's East End, etc. The sense of humour factor helps expose the problems but not in a abrasive manner. Minus the accent, I thought they had the stereotypical Bridgeport jerk down to a "T," at least among the ones I know.

Besides we wouldn't want people to flock to Bridgeport taking up rentals in Woodland, Whiskey Hill, North End etc... We know that Bridgeport is more than just the Hollow and East Side/End. Those that explore the city discovers that quick.

~Cheers

I lived in Bridgeport almost my entire life and Family Guy got it spot on. 6 of my friends posted the video on Facebook and got tons of comments from other people in Bridgeport who loved it. I haven't heard anyone from my hometown disagreeing with it yet. Even the joke about boarded up windows applies to the North End! (Think residential areas north of the Merritt.)

I don't get your last comment. The Merritt does not run through the North End. It runs through the south end of Trumbull. Jay

Bridgeport has a lot of things going for it. Im hopeful for its future. I see being mentioned as a net positive.

Maybe she means the merrit canteen , rather a famous landmark/ local hotdog & burger joint on Main St, in the north end.
