There is
prime climb in wallingford; I haven't been there but it looks good on their site. I think they owned the one in Torrington that closed.
I tried to find
this one in New haven once...I see on their site they're offering some holiday deals.

Back in my rock climbing days the cold seasons always frustrated me...stone age was the only one then...so I built my own wall in the basement. If you're creative you can do this with ease and if you make the hand holds from wood you can constantly reshape them. For what you'll spend in a year of going to the rock gym it's usually worth it.
