Fairfield resident has no clue what they are talking about. Saying all this low income housing is popping up in Norwalk...... I've lived here for 30 years. I am currently looking for a one bedroom apartment. There is NOTHING available in Norwalk for under $1000.00. The so called low income apartments you listed, the Avalon and Tue New sono apartments are close to $2000.00 a month. Perhaps that's low to you, in la de da Fairfield, but in Tue real world that's an arm and a freaking leg!!! After 30 years here and being laid off for a year and a half I am forced to move to Bridgeport because its all I can afford for the moment until I find work. Maybe if you think Norwalk is so crime ridden then you should live in a real ghetto to see what its like. Norwalk isn't heaven for sure but you make it sound like anyone can afford to live here and run the streets. Very far from reality. People who live in fairfield, Westport, greenwhich, ect have no clue. If you lived here within a year or two as you say you'd know that what's filming out of your mouth right now smells like what comes out your rear.

No it's not. Danbury, Norwalk, Middletown, Milford, Stamford, Bristol, Derby, Torrington all have lower crime rates.
