Home in Connecticut : Video : Home & Garden Television
This show was filmed in 2011 so it is old. Still I do not remember it.

The one in Glastonbury was filmed this year. I thought I posted on it when it came out. My son and I were watching the show which we thought was about New Haven and then were surprised at the end to see shots of Glastonbury at the end. We rewound the show just to be sure and then I recognised the house they bought. It was a house listing I had recieved from Prudential a couple of months earlier. Still I was surprised that they ended up in Glastonbury when they were looking in the New Haven area. It is not that close and there are equally nice towns closer. Jay

yeah, i thought their choice was weird all around.

they also acted as if it's just not possible to find a place with charm, at least an acre of land, and a lot of space with a million dollar budget around new haven (and they were willing to do work on the place; the wife actually wanted to put her own stamp on it). i'm no ct real estate expert but that seems like it's totally do-able.

Keep in mind that the show is completely filmed after the people have bought their home. The other homes showed were not necessarily homes they were actually considering. Sometimes they just try and find a home where the owner will allow them to film a fake showing. They do try and find a home that sort of fits the people's requirements but that can be hard since the home owners get little or nothing for it. Jay

I'm pretty sure the cost of living is higher in New Haven than Sacramento.
