Think it started in Trumbull around 8:45. Everyone drive carefully, made it to Clock Hill shopping center in Monroe before I turned around, but that was because I was scared my car wasn't going to make it up the hill at Western Connecticut (the hill you drive up to get to the Charles Ives center if anyone's been there, that hill is steep) and less because of how the roads were. If there wasn't that hill there or had a better car with 4WD/AWD, I probably would've continued my to Western.

The hill you're talking about isn't really that steep, just a very long incline. I made it up no problem in the past when I went there.

the roads around here (bethel danbury) are an absolute mess...even just after it started, not alot of snow on the ground but for some reason realy slippy, slippier than usual for the amount of snow on the ground.
seems to have slowed here, just getting the odd flakes here and there but we got good covering with this part of this one, not looking forward to the big stuff comming through, but everyones home safe now so i dont have to worry about family being safe at least. took my dad 2 hours to get home from milford in the jeep.

11:51: OK. It stopped. I'm pretty sure that I scared the snow away. Phew!

Yah, always seems like the roads are a lot worse up there in northern Fairfield County (Bethel, New Fairfield, Danbury) then they are on the coast in southern Fairfield County. Don't know why that is.

Honda Accord. It was a tank in the snow.

Being familiar with that area, it seems that a six-town region seems to always get hit the hardest - Newtown, Monroe, Easton, Shelton, Oxford and Southbury.
