Hi guys,
Would be great if i could get some advice please.
My husband and i recently moved to stamford CT. Could anyone give me advice on colleges/schools within the stamford area that may offer courses that i can do in my spare time and for personal interests such as art or psychology.
Also, any recommendations on where I can get my long hair cut and what prices I would expect to pay? Downtown stamford area preferably.
Thanks
newbie

I'm not sure about where to get your hair cut, but as far as colleges are concerned, there are branches of Sacred Heart University and the University of Bridgeport in Stamford. Also, Norwalk Community College is fairly close by. There really aren't any traditional four-year universities in the immediate area.

University of Connecticut also has a Stamford campus. There are a number of colleges in Westchester County that may be of interest as well. Jay

When I lived in Stamford I got my hair cut by Phyllis (owner) at Sea Hair Studio, 875 Cove Rd., 203-325-8771. The salon is right near Cove Island Park, not downtown, but Phyllis is a fantastic stylist and very warm. Can't remember her fees.

Cove Island Park is wonderfull, if you haven't already been there...!

If you don't specifically need college courses, the city of Stamford offers continuing education classes at various locations, lin a variety of personal enrichment areas such as foreign language, yoga, arts/crafts, etc. Here's a link to their website: Stamford Adult Education - Stamford CT/Connecticut

Welcome to CT!!

UConn Stamford is a four year university, for some majors. Odd that you left it out.
