I lived in the city for over a decade but am not a native to this area. I am looking for a commuter town with superb schools, a high income population, and wasp demographics. I heard good things about New Canaan. Many towns are high income and "white" according to city-data, but I know there are a lot of Jews living in them. I really want to avoid towns with an active Jewish population. Any suggestions?
I know this post isn't PC, but I don't think it's a crime to want to live around your own kind, especially if you are raising kids.
New Canaan has a heavy Mormon population. Darien and Fairfield have a heavy Protestant population. Westport has a large Jewish population. Of course there are all in each town.

Perhaps you should avoid Connecticut all-together? There are plenty of towns in Nebraska with a low Jewish population.

Trying to raise your children with "your own kind" is very shortsighted. Giving them the knowledge of diversity and the first hand experience of other types of people would be the best for them in the long run. All of the towns in Connecticut have some level of diversity. The days of segregation are long gone. That said the towns you are considering would be your best bet. Jay
