Another CT state parks question...

This time related to passes.

I have a CT plates and friend has out of state car plates (New York). We sometimes switch cars for logistical one person working today, one person doing errands today reasons.

Question is do the in state and out of state passes look the same? I know you're not supposed to but might have to switch the pass to different cars if possible.

Do the people at the booth just wave you buy or are they scanning now?

You mean season passes?

I believe they look different. Besides, it's definitely against the rules to do what you're talking about. How would you anyway? Magnets?

If you're so concerned about it, I would just go somewhere where the parking is free, like Silver Sands State Park.

They try to apply it at the booth...only way around it is if you happen to have a cracked windshield..but other excuses (I'm getting a new car next week...might work). You can laminate it then scotch tape it the day you go. The problem is that people will go in...then send the pass back out for another car load of people and the parking lots get full and the beach fuller. It's a shame that a few scammers have to ruin it because plenty of people have more than one car...babysitter's car...etc. and it really sucks for the honest folks.
