I'm relocating to New London for a job and am considering Shaw's Landing, one of the newer condo buildings on Bank Street. I've been looking over the forums and a lot of people have mentioned some problem areas of New London and I was wondering if this was one of them. Can anyone give me some more details about the good and bad sections of New London?

New London is easy- remember north of Lawrence and Memorial Hospital- try to avoid- the further south from Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, the better the city gets.

Shaw's Landing is definitely north of the hospital.

Shaw's Landing is a newer/new condo complex who only claim to fame is that some units have views over a marina. If you would like to move there, plan on locking yourself in . It's not residential and not someplace where you would go out for a walk. The streets opposite Shaw's Landing, just north of Bank St. have some of the worst reputation in the city. Immediately south, east and west, isn't much better.
