I didn't say YOU said that specifically. I said "many of these fanatics", which is the truth. There's all kinds of complaints to deep whenever they euthanize a bear. You also see these nuts trying to save "loving pitties" that have mauled and sometimes killed people and scheduled for euthanizing. You saw the outrage over the zoo gorilla with people rather having the child killed since "children aren't "endangered" There's a fanatical element that now values animals over children. Real sick stuff.

I trail run and see hunters in the woods. I have yet to see a bear.

East of the river - mostly Case and Blackledge and some other spots in Glastonbury. I wear orange even on Sundays.

Cool. I live West of the river (assuming you mean Connecticut) and there are tons of bears on our side. Less on the other. I wear orange all the time during hunting season. If I recall correctly, some types of hunting on private land is allowed on Sundays.

Yes, CT

And hunting is allowed on private land on Sundays. You can hear them quite a bit in Glastonbury. I worry that someone will "forget".

People have seen squirrel hunters already, I didn't realize anyone was out before Sept 15

I have friends that have seen bear at WH Res multiple times.

The only Sunday hunting currently allowed in CT is archery deer hunting on private land.... doubtful you would hear anything.

There ARE several gun ranges in and near Glastonbury, including a state owned range. One at the Elks Club as well. Probably what you are hearing.

I know that. The town has its own range as well. I'm in the woods all year so yes, I hear gunshots often. The sound carries pretty far.
