Not a bobcat, a mountain lion. Probably a Gold Coaster's pet that got loose.

Wasn't that the one they determined came from one of the Dakotas? They still won't admit they are in the state.

There were two of them?
Maybe one was from the Dakotas and the other a pet, or maybe both were pets. Wouldn't surprise me on the Gold Coast.

I may be recalling incorrectly and it was sighting of the same cat in Greenwich prior to getting hit in Milford.

Got an email from my HOA this morning. Apparently, they received a report of a mama bear and cubs poking around a dumpster. That's worrisome. A full grown bear is dangerous enough, but one with cubs is extra-alarming.

Apparently the pop. is growing:

You go outside, baby bears see you and they start running towards you to cuddle. Friendly creatures. Mama bear appears and somehow in her mind you are at fault. She doesn't want her cubs near you and she charges towards you for a fight because, you know, its your fault that the baby bears want to cuddle with you. Not friendly creature. Time to run. The cute things turn into a life or death struggle.

Welcome to the new Connecticut. lol

I still don't know what the government is waiting to do something about this.

There's usually a bear at our dumspter every night when we go to take the dog out--dog won't walk more than a few steps and wants to go back inside. But today at noontime I went to take him out and the police were here because there was a bear in back of someone's apartment. This is a small apt complex and that's too close for comfort. A neighbor hollered to me to get the dog back inside but he had to "go" so I bundled him into the car and we drove to a safe place where he could relieve himself.

Great job. You handled the situation perfectly. A textbook case.
Many would rather pull out a smartphone and push record for Facebook than get to safe distances. It's just a matter of time before someone in CT has really bad day with Teddy. No pushback on victim blaming this time.
Always respect nature.
