Does anyone have a clue when the NH line will resume to GCS? The Hudson and Harlem lines are almost up in lower Westchester but I can't get any decent info. re: the New Haven one. Are we talking hours, days, weeks? Will they let you use your monthly ticket on another line?

Has this happened before, or is this truly an anomoly? I'm used to everyone saying that the New Haven line is the absolute worst line of the three because they don't maintain the infrastructure like the other 2, but just thought we had to deal with older trains, not no trains at all. I'm actually surprised that this isn't a bigger media story - 3/4 of Westchester is home today and stuck.

Blame CDOT when it comes to the MNRR in CT , the MNCR receives very little compared NYSDOT. Hench why the NY Part is in better shape then CT ,the line is in Bad shape with alot of trees down so i would expect the line to fully be up by Wednesday. The whole system by Thursday for Full Hudson & Harlem service and Amtrak.

For the amount of money we pay, which is about to go up another 20%, they should have their own DOT. I don't want to hear any more excuses from these clowns. If they didn't **** away all the money we give them on overfunded pensions, and ridiculous salaries and other union bennys, they'd be swimming in cash. Instead we get to pay more for awful service, awful equipment, and deplorable riding conditions.

Well the New Haven line is in bad shape , and it really has nothing to do with Unions. More like Hartford neglecting something important in CT.

Clever commute saying Sunday service starting at 4pm today. Expecting to run regular weekday service Tuesday.

I disagree. It's like any other union gig. They bring in a TON of cash, and they do nothing but find ways to lose it. How can you bring in the money they do, and fail to profitably run a giant model train-set? You have a total monopoly on all commutation to NYC, and your BROKE??? M8's still need "testing" eh? More like the union just has some more bilking of the tax payers to do. Union corruption and bloat.

The trains aren't any cheaper on the NH Line, but they are old and terrible, so where is all the money going? We have such Harlem and Hudson-line train envy!

Interesting also to note that it's mainly CT riders that are getting huge increases. Our stop isn't changing at all. Not complaining at all, but it is odd that it's owned by CT and they are basically socking it to all of the CT riders.

And its disproportionate. It's not 15% across the board like we were told. Fairfield to GCT is almost 20%. Then another $5 increase per year through 2018.

So far the new ones are actually WORSE than the old ones. Sure they are cleaner and the AC works, but they are even less reliable due to electrical gremlins. Also, I find the seats to be very uncomfortable, though perhaps that is by design.
