Lot of trees on the coast here had dead leaves right after the tropical storm.

Wind and salt water combo?

It's starting to get beautiful up in Farmington and Canton. Bright orange colors along with the usual stone walls and fall decorations. I was just up on rte 44 and the roads around there are looking good. Strange, because I think the last time we had any rain was the day the power outage started!

yes... The wind burn and the salty air. Winds were super strong off the ocean so they came crashing onto the trees. Wasn't widespread browning but some trees did take a hit.

I seen more browning with Sandy or Irene though than with Isaias this year.

If the browning happened in August then its from the storm.
Otherwise some browning may be because of the drought.
They'll survive.

Same story on the shoreline near me. I have a ton of leaves in my yard from a neighbor's maple already. Plenty of color in the area. Par for 2020 that we'll an undwhelming foliage scene this year.

The foliage was starting to pop in the NW hills yesterday. I liked a section of the AT heading southbound and the views were great from Mt. Race and Mt. Everett looking down towards Litchfield County.
