Besides Ct OTA stations, does Hartford cable provider offer Boston or New York broadcast stations as well?

MyTV9 is actually a New Haven station (channel 59) that is very similar to the NY station called My9 (in fact, both stations broadcast Yankees games when they are not on cable's YES network and they use virtually the same logo, with the later having "tv" added to its my9 logo). I remember watching it when I was up in Hartford 2 summers ago initially thinking it was the NYC channel 9.

I believe the 2 stations have almost the same programming but it is not simply a New Haven "repeater" of the NY 9. One example is that MyTV9's news is run by Channel 8 Action News done at 10pm instead of 8's 11. Whereas the NY My 9 has it's own 10:00 news (technically that 9 is licensed to a nearby town in NJ and the news on that station has a much bigger "Jersey bent" than the other NYC stations).

When I was up there, I don't recall getting NY or Boston stations, I was staying in Vernon near the border of Manchester. It did carry both YES and NESN (but not SNY, but I've heard that might have changed now that SNY does UConn games?) so I guess fans of either team are covered.

In Milford, I get all local CT stations AND all local NYC on U-Verse. I imagine towards Boston you'd get those.

I meant that in Hartford we get NY and Boston sports.

Does network TV matter besides sports?
