Oh! And we didn't even talk about all the stuff that you have to purchase once you move into the house! I'm not just talking about window coverings, I'm talking about important things like a fire extinguisher, a shovel, new locks, stuff like that... It's a long list.

No, the solution is for you to be REALISTIC in your expectations. You have a limited income and a limited price range. This is what you get for that right now. Those may change but you are looking at it right now. If you are not finidng what you want or like, then you will either have to continue renting or move back in wiht mom and dad. I have to agree with the others that you probably should just continue to rent. Until you are in a position to stay in one place for longer than 5 years and have more than a minimum downpayment, it just does not make any sense. It still should remain a goal of yours but you need to be patient. JMHO, Jay
