I'm new to Farmington and desperately looking for a nice salon that has someone who specializes in African-American hair. I'd love to find a stylist in this town or the surrounding area (meaning, I don't want to drive to New Haven) since spending the entire day first in the car and then in a salon isn't an option for me with small kids at home. I've made lots of unsuccessful calls and been on a few disappointing consultations, so any suggestions would be grately appreciated!

Thumbs up You should try Sonny

I highly recommend Sonny at Executive Touch in Farmington. He's from Detroit, so you know he knows what he's doing. He doesn't keep you waiting (I can't stand being at the salon all day), he uses good products (Design Essentials and Affirm) and my hair looks and feels fabulous when I leave. The only bad thing is he works only on Sundays.
