Stratford, CT Resident, I want something movein ready. That has been my problem whlith the houses we found in Stratford and Wallingford. It looks like a few houses were going to look at in Seymour are advertising "move right in".

7express, I already live here. We live in what is called te Devon section of Milford. I know how 95 is. My first thought when I moved here was how the hell do people get ANYWHERE around here? It's by far the worst highway for traffic that I've ever seen.

Does anyone have any information on Ansonia? A few houses there are in our price range but are the taxes high there? Is it a dangerous place to live? We are okay with working class but need somewhere safe.

Ansonia is not dangerous.

Latest crime index is 188, national average is 319.

Ansonia isn't dangerous, but there are a few "ghettos". There is a public housing project across from downtown, and behind it is not the best area. Other than that, the town is decent with some beautiful neighborhoods in the Hilltop area (an easy jump to the Merritt where you can cut over to 95 in Bridgeport).

Since schools aren't an issue I wouldn't hesitate to recommend one of the towns' nicer neighborhoods, as well as Derby. They are both solid working-class towns, a step down from Seymour.

Ok, so I put an offer on the East Haven house. I'm nervous and excited but I hope I didn't make a bad decision in terms of commuting.
