Although mono-rail is for tourist and fail in colder climates, it may not be a option for Connecticut how about automated people mover (APM-rail)?

I don't think our cities are large enough to justify the cost.

Actually it should be spread out to the Metro area... if anything, throughout Connecticut river valley

Yeah, I'm sure people would love one of those going through their neighborhood.

Not many neighborhoods.. I'm sure it can go into the forests and rivers (which I'm sure it be a wonderful view to be on top of everything) and right in the middle of the highways and side of the highways without most of these residents living there... except for more populated and shopping areas and downtown areas where people would be trying to get to, and bus stops may go by these train stations for people get to their specific destination...

Maybe if we ever get these I'm sure the APM rails would be connected to the busway as to transfering from the rail-line to busway. I also think it should be going from Airport to Meriden and from Hartford to Waterbury... Hartford to West-Hartford and Hartford to East Hartford/Manchester... Hartford to Foxwood/Mohegan Sun Casinos. Also, I think it can be transfer to the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield communter line....

Not a bad idea.

On the contrary, I think it's a terrible idea. It would absolutely ruin the beauty of any forests it cuts through, and disturb wildlife.

Have people in CT ever considered those moving sidewalks like at airports? How about teleportation?

I dont think it would majorly ruin the beauty of any forests long as it's in the path of the elevated tracks, and I dont think it should be going into state parks or anything like that, and I think the tracks should be mainly in the streets/road area, and it if have to go through a forest for any necessary reasons? I'm sure whats been cut can be re-planet and mother nature will restore... and because this is a rail that is being above ground, not a rail road....

I would say it should be near highways and very densely populated areas that most would take the train. That should be the focus of the project. I think this rail should be a very high-speed rail that would only take 5 mins instead of 20 mins to communte...

How about jet packs for everyone? That makes just about as much sense as spending all this money on a rail system designed to get people to a place that they can ALREADY get to easily by car.
