We know that Food trucks add to the overall neighborhood vitality.
We may not be Austin city when it comes to food truck culture, but we have Long Wharf's food truck paradise in New Haven and many food truck festivals across the state like the Hey Stamford festival in Stamford.
What is your favorite food truck in Connecticut that you so long for to be in your neighborhood?

Lobster Hut or Crispy Melty come to mind first.

There’s some great carts in New Haven but they aren’t “trucks”.

Long Wharf ones are just OK IMO. There’s a lot of better brick and mortar taco spots in the area.

They used to call them Roach Coaches.

Do you guys order the tomato and avocado melt in your snobbiest British accent?
I never understood the infatuation with grilled cheese sandwiches from when I was a kid and how they became so de rigeur and fancy them up by calling them “Melts”.

Cheese and bread…hard to go wrong

The only thing better would be eating one on that oh so sexy Colchester Town Green

Hugo's Food on East Main Street in Waterbury. It has the best tacos anywhere, ever. Don't get fooled by the flashy big one with lights across the street. Hugo's, with a simple, plain, old truck is the best.

I'll have to try that.

I did Los Garcias in Waterbury which is sort of a truck feel, but it was just OK. Is that the flashy big one?

Los Tacos Gordos in New Haven are still by far the best I've had in CT and up there for east coast in general. Not a food truck though.

I really love the Mexican food trucks and others around Long Wharf Area, New Haven! Some very good and authentic food!

Long Wharf in New Haven is amazing with all the food trucks along the street. I like that you can see harbor/water on one side:
