Hello,

I'm about to move to Trumbull for working on a project for about a year. I'm looking for a place to live where it is easy to commute to Trumbull without a car, since I cannot afford a car yet. Any help?

Thanks!

Trumbull doesn't have any public transportation. You really need a car in that area, or rely on taxis. I'm afraid that's going to be tough unless you really luck out and find a place within walking distance of this project.

GBTA does have service to Trumbull. Limited service though.

Most of the major employment areas in Trumbull are served by Greater Bridgeport Transit buses. You can check the link below for the routes. I would suggest you look at the route that serves the area you will work in and look for an apartment along it. Downtown Bridgeport is the hub for bus service so you could look for an apartment there. Also you could look in the North End along the Main Street corridor (stay north of North Avenue, Route 1) or the Beardsley Park (also stay north of Route 1). Jay

Bridgeport/Monroe/Stratford are the only 3 towns with busses to Trumbull, and they only go to 3 places in the town (well 4 actually): Trumbull Center, town hall, Hawley Lane shopping center, and the Westfield Trumbull mall. If your not working in 1 of those 4 places, you'd need to call a taxi which are difficult to find here.

I used to work for a company as a contractor in the Oakview DR / Linderman DR area, there are quite a few companies there.

There are buses that go there, but very limited. Depending on where you live, it might be a problem.

I had to take the train to the bridgeport station and take the bus to trumbull.

Good news is that the Bus stop at Bridgeport is right off the train station and the bus stop on Oakview drive in Trumbull is right next to the company.

Not true. There are buses that serve the Monroe Turnpike, the Old Town Road/Reservior Avenue and Trumbull Corporate Park business areas. Not knowing where the OP is working makes it hard to say which bus goes there and what areas to look into for rentals. Jay
