I'm not going to argue with you on this one. Especially when you say things like "New Haven may have a club or two" and has less foot traffic than Stamford on weekends. I've lived in the state nearly all my life, except for a brief hiatus in Colorado. So yes, I've been all over and have lived or worked in all those areas.

Who cares about Crabshell? It's just a joint that overlooks the water in a semi-industrial area. The place doesn't even count when looking at the Stamford "scene" overall, as Crabshell's patrons are overwhelmingly not Stamford residents. Primarily Old Greenwich patrons actually. Happenin' joint. LOL.

But, but, but, does New Haven have a Crabshell??????? OMG, too funny.

Hey ATTW3, you lived in the vicinity of Crabshell. What's your opinion on the "nightlife" at Crabshell?

Alive at five is just a way to get the suburbanites to stick around. As soon as it's over, they depart. And Crabshell? LOL -really?

Yeah - Stamford is pretty quiet in the evenings.

Nice to laser in on Crabshell. It was but one of the mentions. Stylo- I'd argue I'm a pretty strong barometer on both New Haven an Stamford. I have an MBA from Yale and lived in Stamford for five years. I don't recall you having extensive tenure in Stamford. You've been working in Westport for awhile- I believe even prior to our Milford purchase.

Jmho but the night life scene in Stamford is on par with New haven as our the restaurants. Both frankly pale in contrast to NYC.

I have worked in Stamford and Norwalk. Not sure when you got your MBA, but the amount of restaurants and nightlife in New Haven has practically quadrupled in the past 10-12 years.

Wilton have you ever experienced the New Haven nightlife? It is crazy for a small city. I frequent New Haven and work in Stamford. Stamford's nightlife plain sucks. Some bars are completely empty. Most people go into the city.

Again I went to school in New Haven so I have some "experience". I was very underwhelmed with the scene and it felt very Jersey-shoreish.

I also have two children under 3 so I'm not exactly clubbing these days. Never a fan of clubs though- I'd rather socialize over a few drinks at a bar. Staying away from clubs didn't seem to detract- I'm well socialized, happily married, connected and modestly successful.

That's surprising because you don't paint an accurate picture of New Haven at all.
