I honestly think the state will get up to 4 million by 2020-2030... diff not 2040. Same with fairfield over 1 million by 2020/2030

If I'm still alive I hope I'm out of here by then. It's way too crowded as it is.

Agreed. CT is too urbanized for my tastes. I'm thinking maybe Vermont or somewhere in PA would be less crowded.

I don't understand when people say this.. about 1/2 of the state has hardly any population at all.

It's very tightly concentrated in a few areas.. yes if you want to live in the CROWDED areas, it's crowded.

Even in 2040, most of that map is less than 20% urbanized.

I've never considered Connecticut crowded overall, except for the cities.

Its really just 2 corridors , the Long Island Sound and the Knowledge corridor which are dense or will become denser. The rest of the state is pretty spaced out.

Connecticut is the third smallest state, and the fourth most densely populated. Travel around the country and you'll see the difference. I'd rather live somewhere with fewer people, just my personal preference.

One thing I noticed about the NY metropolitan area (and CT in particular) on these maps compared to the other cities is that it goes from "80-100% urbanized" to "0-20% urbanized" quite quickly with little "in between". Interesting......

You have to look at it population wise, not land wise. It's the 3 most densely populated state in the country. How can you not understand that?
