Hartford (AP)_ Connecticut is at the top of another list dealing with finances and money.

The state ranks number one on the A.G. Edwards' "Nest Egg Index." The index ranks the top states on their residents' personal savings and investing behavior.

The index also ranks the communities and Connecticut has two areas that are in the top five. The Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk area ranks number three and Torrington is ranked fourth.

The "Nest Egg Index" involves a dozen statistical factors ranging from participation in retirement savings plans to personal debt levels and home ownership.
