Amtrak can bring you from Stamford to New Haven, then you'll have to switch Amtrak trains to get from New Haven to Wallingford. Amtrak is never cheap, but likely cheaper than a cab.

To get to Wallingford from Stamford take Metro North to New Haven's Union Station which is the transportation hub for the region. Then you can catch a CT Transit bus to Wallingford from ther. Check both the Metro North and Ct Transit websites for schedules. Good luck, Jay

A daily trip from Stamford to Wallingford..will be a trip from HELL..no matter which way you do it. Switching trains in New Haven will only work if you pay real close attention to the clock.

Driving the Merritt in prime time will make you bite your nails

Diving 95 in Prime Time will make you PROMISE to take the TRAIN !!

Wallingford has some nice reasonable property....do yourself a favor and rent an apartment...or rent a room !

Save your sanity !

I do not quite understand this, but there is no train from New Haven to Waterbury and Springfield. The Waterbury line goes out of Bridgeport and service to Springfield is through Amtrak. Jay
