Thanks, KaoCT. Do you have personal experience with Educational playcare in Farmington or have heard good things about them from friends? Is there rating of daycares in CT ? Like in PA, we have Keystone rating and every daycare is rated based on their quality. Is there anything like that in CT?

I can't speak to the daycares in Farmington as I don't have a lot of experience with them. My wife is a director of a well known high end daycare company in the region.

This link will let you look up centers and see violations.

https://www.elicense.ct.gov/Lookup/LicenseLookup.aspx

I checked educational playcare (Which I have NOT seen good things with in other centers, but don't know about Farmington) and they have some violations in 2011 that if you don't really know what they mean probably won't seem like a big deal, but for those who speak the "lingo" it's obvious they were understaffed, and the admin was ill prepared so they got cited.

Depending on where you are there is an Apple Tree center in Avon up Brickyard road. Apple Tree is a consistently good provider, but as always individual centers can vary.
