I'm looking around Hartford, not IN Hartford, for an apartment that will allow me to have my 45 pound dog (she's a little bigger than a "small" dog). I'd like to find somewhere in, say, West Hartford, Farmington, Newington, etc. One bedroom is fine. Just something simple so that I don't have to give up my best friend. Any ideas?

Sorry no one has had any ideas for you. I know a lot of condos allow dogs, maybe look into condo rentals in the area, there are plenty around. Good luck!

But even condos can have limits on dog sizes. Can't make any recommendations. Maybe contact a realtor in the area you are interested in and check craigslist.com. Good luck. Jay

I know you said you are not looking downtown, but the LOfts at Temple and Main do permit dogs and I noticed there was a resident trying to organize a dog group to go to Bushnell Park. If you have no luck elsewhere, you may want to consider it.
Good Luck

Why not the SouthWest End of Hartford, there are tons of Apartments over there, and your dog will be allowed.
