Maybe I'm just getting a little extra crotchety Driving last weekend tailgated on mill plain road fairfield. Father with what appears his son, passes me in the school zone. Yesterday on the merrit parkway, southbound in trumbull where there are jersey barriers adjacent to the lanes. I'm passing a slower car, car behind me pulls about 10' from my back bumper. Just a flavor of pretty much everytime I drive. If it's me, feel free to let me know. If it's most people around here drive like bullies- please let me know. Should I just ride the bus ?
If anyone does have some advice- please share. I hear they are going to film "Falling Down II " in fairfield

Ps- maybe a little late for a rant- why doesn't the fairfield police do anything about the cars coming out the wrong way out of the one way entrance at Ludlowe?

This is nothing new. For some reason people are at the edge of nervous insanity in this area. I see it even more in Norwalk.

Thats because people have road rage in hartford. Tailgate them in hartford and they will slam on the brakes or worse.

How fast do you tend to drive? At, above or below the speed limit? Are you keeping up with the flow of traffic?

I agree with this. Moving from Fairfield County to Hartford metro was like night and day. Granted, Hartford has plenty of their own a-hole drivers but nowhere near the level of aggression I saw in Fairfield County.

Yea, if your going so slow that someone is constantly tailgating you, maybe your just driving too slow? if you don't feel safe driving faster, why not pull over and let them pass?

I've had people get practically on my bumper while I'm doing WELL over the speed limit on 95/15.

Same here. On 91, I generally travel around 75-80 if conditions allow. Yes, technically breaking the law, but on 91 it's very easy to do. I regularly have people going much faster fly up behind me and ride my bumper in an attempt to get me to move over. I will move over once I can, and they do it to the next person who was in front of me.

It's just as bad as the left lane hogs.
