Very scary seeing this. Latest Euro showing the exact same setup as the past blizzard.

take a look. Top images latest Euro for 22nd time frame. Bottom images are actual surface map. Notice the High pressures also over northern New England.. Eerie similarities.
Well, that just ruined my night.........

Default February 16, 2013 Snowfall

NWS Albany, Boston and Upton snowfall forecasts. Light stuff south of Hartford and New Haven. Starts after 5pm as rain for the coast, changes over to snow overnight. (hence the lower totals)

I wont lie... This weekend has me nervous that I could be wrong... meaning, a 50-100 mile shift west and we're talking warning level snows. In my experience I've never seen a "continued" shift west from 5 days out. Its either shift west, back east or meet in middle.

Snowy times ahead and I'm not just talking this weekend only.

Seems the two major sets of models are completely different, too. It'll be a tough call for sure. :|

Not even a warning from the weather channel, so if anything it'll only be a couple inches. Sounds like if something does happen Eastern Mass (Cape Cod, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard) will get the brunt of it.

lol. Work got crazy, I'm using the "look out the window" technique lately.

1-2" tonight.

Near miss tomorrow night, like the Meteor this afternoon, unlike the meteor which hit Russia this morning.

Cold.

Future radar..

Talk about near miss tomorrow. This ocean storm is going to be HUGE!

Watches and Warnings. Updated from this morning. Notice the Warnings on the capes, the advisoruies for Rhode Island, the Blizzard for Maine. And 4" of snow for NC, SC and VA too. Missing us but New London county CT might get some from it.

967mb Blizzard is nuts which strengthens to 955mb.. Looks like GFS wants to throw some snow back for Eastern CT. Notice how far down the freezing line goes (for 5000' up). We missed another historic blizzard by 50-100 miles.

Whoa I showed my wife this and she said she would have cried if we got another 32 inches of snow, Just incredible, any records if that ever happened before? Two 2feet + snowfalls within a week of each other in CT? And, if this pattern continues once if warms up does that mean we are in for a wet soggy spring? I wouldn't call this a "near miss" but instead a "near hit" lol.
