Record heat in 1998 in CT. Wow, people at the beach and running for A/C in March. Sick.

Yup.. as I said before.. those who like colder temps, enjoy this week because we moderate after this week.. I wanted to say we probably wont feel as cold until October or November but something tells me to hold off on that comment. LOL

Upton/Boston Blend

Today:

THIS FRONT HAS SPARKED SHOWERS ACROSS THE AREA WITH RUMBLES OF THUNDER...ESP ACROSS THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE REGION WHERE TEMPS REACHED INTO THE 60S. CONDITIONS ARE STILL FAVORABLE FOR THIS LINE TO MAINTAIN ITSELF OVER THE NEXT HOUR...BUT BELIEVE WITH SETTING SUN AND LOSING THE DIURNAL COMPONET THIS LINE WILL TRICKLE BACK TO SHOWERS. TEMPS FALL QUICKLY BEHIND THE FRONT AND WINDS SWITCHING TO THE WNW WILL GUST UP TO 30 MPH. OUT ACROSS THE BERKS...BECAUSE OF THE FALLING TEMPS...ANY SHOWERS MAY HAVE A MIX OF FLURRIES WITHIN IT.

Tonight/Tomorrow/Wednesday

SEEMS THAT WINTER DOESNT WANT TO LEAVE SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND AS
TEMPS WILL DROP INTO THE LOW TO MID 20S ACROSS THE AREA. THIS
COMBINED WITH GUSTY WINDS OVERNIGHT WILL ALLOW FOR WIND CHILLS TO
DROP INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS TO MID TEENS. A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS OUT
THERE OVERNIGHT MAY YIELD TO A FEW FLAKES BUT NO ACCUMS EXPECTED.

HIGH PRESSURE CONTINUES TO BUILD IN DURING THE PERIOD WITH CYCLONIC
FLOW ALOFT. THE AFTERNOON 850MB TEMPERATURE IS FORECAST TO BE NEAR -10C. HIGHS ARE THEREFORE EXPECTED TO AVERAGE ABOUT 10 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL.

FOR WEDNESDAY...AN UNSEASONABLE COLD DAY IS IN STORE WITH JET STREAM
TO THE SOUTH OF THE REGION WITH A STRONG SHORTWAVE AND TROUGH AT THE
SURFACE MOVING THROUGH IN THE AFTERNOON...REINFORCING COLD AIR
ADVECTION. THIS WILL SET THE STAGE FOR SOME VERY COLD TEMPS
WEDNESDAY NIGHT AS HIGH PRESSURE QUICKLY BUILDS IN. PRIME RADIATIONAL
COOLING CONDITIONS WILL BE IN PLACE. LOWS FROM THE TEENS TO LOWER
30S ARE FORECAST IN THE REGION.

Default OBS List

Hey guys.. bookmark this. I keep coming across phenominal sites. This is just amazing and what I was waiting for. To have all CT stations in one spot with all info and real time including the Highs/Lows

Hartford and BDL went over 60 today. Great site and you can toggle to other states.

NWS forecast for Danbury is quite interesting. I know they have bigger diurnal ranges up there compared to say BDR or Central Park, but how often do you see a hi of 53 coupled with a low of 18 (Wed night/Thurs)? That's the kind of weather you see out in "high desert" areas like Reno or Flagstaff:

Dropped to 20s statewide

7am. 4/2/13. The CT Valley is warming up. Normal Highs for BDL are now higher than the CT coast (BDR)

Default April 2, 2013 Temps

The actual Temps are well below normal for the highs and in fact the temps are just a bit above the normal lows at 2pm 4/2/13.

Heres a look at wind chill value. Feels like 20s at 2pm. Arrows are showing the winds which are from the WNW
