Record Highs have been set for this day already at Bridgeport, Kennedy and Islip. We were touching reord lows not too long ago.

Funny how those 3 are the only ones right now in the entire East.

1) Noticed they accidentally said April 4, not April 9.

2) The power of the cool spring ocean really shows on this chart. I didn't realize that the average first 80-deg day in Islip, JFK and Bridgeport isn't until early May.

Heading out for the first bike ride of the year. This is the latest date I can remember in the last 6 years.

New Britain saw at least 74 F/23 C this afternoon, beating yesterday's high-of-the-year of 70 F/21 C. I believe it was 80 as close as New York City (for out-of-state readings). Baltimore saw no less than 84 F/29 C!

Actually, Bridgeport reached 80, its high was a record for the date 81 (old record 79 in 1991)

BDR was the only one which is surprising in the sense that water temps didnt help today. That west wind was driving the heat today.

Get your heat ready again.

An Impressive and Incredible cold front out in the Plains right now.

Temps are dropping from 80s to 50s in an hour or so and then some places into the 30s and snowflakes to fall.

Winter Advisories in Texas. So Friday we'll feel the drop and maybe not get out of the 40s for highs.

Scattered rain tonight into Thursday then a lot of rain on Friday.

Plant those grass seeds tomorrow. Hot again tomorrow.

Bridgeport took until April 17th last year to hit 81. They hit it today April 9th. Over a week sooner. And last year was the hot year. lol
