Surprised? I'm not. Coastal CT living at its best. Just drizzling here now. No lightning. No thunder after a Severe warned was in Westchester heading right for us and Tornado warned in NJ.

10:20am radar and 45 minutes later.

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
FAIRFIELD COUNTY IN SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT...

* UNTIL 1130 AM EDT...

* AT 1104 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO NEAR NEW
CANAAN...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH JUST NORTH OF THE MERRITT
PARKWAY.

* THE TORNADO WILL BE NEAR...WILTON BY 1125 AM...GEORGETOWN BY 1130 AM...

That Green spot is where rotation was being detected.

Looks like the threat has passed here in Wilton. Didn't see anything other than some rain. Must have passed further up route 7 into Ridgefield.

Any wind or wind gusts or clouds looking like they were lifting upwards instead of moving across?

Thanks. I think your right. You just missd it and the worst went north of you..

493 without power in Ridgefield from winds and storms moving through.

Edit: As of 12:15pm. 849 without power in Ridgefield and Wilton, CT

Person struck by lightning in Danbury taken to hospital. Some roads closed from down Trees, wires & water.

Possible Tornado touched down moments ago.



East Windsor
SEMI TRUCK BLOWN OVER ON I-91 in CT. SIGN BLOWN DOWN. PART OF SPORTS ARENA DOME BY EXIT 44 BLOWN OFF AND IN ROADWAY

Windsor Locks.
4 INCH DIAMETER TREE BRANCHES DOWN. UP TO 8 INCH DIAMETER TREES SNAPPED AND DOWNED IN AREA OF ROUTE 20 AND 91 NEAR BRADLEY AIRPORT.

CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO NEAR ENFIELD...OR 7 MILES NORTHEAST
OF WINDSOR LOCKS...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH. THE STORM HAS BEEN
SHOWING A WEAKENING TREND BUT STILL COULD BE DANGEROUS.

TREES AND TREE LIMBS WERE REPORTED DOWN IN WINDSOR LOCKS WITH THIS
STORM.
LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...ENFIELD AND SOMERS.
