Brrr! I had to close most of the windows this morning. It's a nice little break from the heat, but my pick of the week is tomorrow with low 80's.

I guess I'm middle of the road - it did feel somewhat nice this morning (my low was 62 F) ....but it was a bit wet (it rained here early) so I lost the effect a bit. Hopfully it dries out today and for the weekend.

For me, the lows could be 45 or 75 F I really don't care- as long as its dry and I see the sun coming up. Below 45 F (in the early morning) is where I start to dislike it.

This. I thought to myself, "man, I belong in Seattle or something."

But I'd miss the seasons too much. It's almost like we here in New England love reasons to complain but are always content with our plight that is the weather.

The gray gets to many people in Seattle/PNW - esp in the fall/winter. People on the East Coast don't realize how overcast and cloudy it can be in the PNW. Cities like Seattle get 1/3 as much sunshine in winter as cities like New Haven, NYC , or Trenton, NJ. Crisp, but bright sunny days in winter like we get here are rare in the PNW. Springs and falls are also cooler, cloudier.

That's why I say, when it comes down to it - CT really has a decent climate most of the time. If you cut off the time from late December through late February, we have about 10 months of good weather.

You don't have to go that far to experience that in winter, just go to upstate NY, especially the western part near the Great Lakes.

I'm loving how cool it is out though with the clouds and occasional drizzle (and I do mean in CT, not Westchester as my wife had a specialist appt for something that happened to be in Greenwich, it was drizzling there) it has a "raw" feel to it and would much prefer a little sun.

Agreed on the latter part, though I really do like overcast days like today. Provides the best backdrop to bright autumn leaves especially!

No complaints here. Cloudy, below normal, fall like. Front remains off shore, coastal storm just developed off Virginia. Clouds should linger around. I havent gotten rain since Tuesday.

Midday July 25th, 2013 temps are 8-20° below normal from Mid Atlantic to New England including Ohio Valley
