Forgot to reply.. not sure but yeah the coastal storm should make for bigger than 1 foot waves. Its weak so dont expect big waves. Unless the timing of it comes during low tide than 1 foot sounds right.

It Doesnt even have a tight spin on it either. Let me see if I can get a link..

I have this link in my folder, not sure if they have a further north view. Looks like a good link to see the forecast for swells.

Uncommon event today at BDR

The lowest max temp on record in July is 63°.

Today didnt pass 67°. So it rarely stays in the mid 60s for July.

At BDL the lowest max temp on record in July is 60°. After July 20th its 63°.
Todays high was 67°.

Hello Connecticuters! Love reading the thread beginning to end. I'm looking forward to a move to the northeast (New Hampshire) in Spring of 2014 from the DC area - can't wait to get out of the heat and get into some cold winters!

As a resident of New Haven, CT in '95 and '96, I remember it seemed to snow a large amount one of those winters. Can anyone recommend a good site to look up past climate data -- in particular daily highs and lows for a given state or city?

Welcome to the thread. Yeah 1995-96 winter Hartford had 115 inches of snow. Bridgeport had 75"

If it's short term Highs and Low you can use the Local Climate Data.
Click on a location on the map
Check mark "Preliminary Monthly Climate Data (CF6)
Pick your location
Choose Archive Data and scroll to the month you want

If it's long term Highs and Lows and other details Use NCDC.
Pick a state.

I was not prepared for this cool spell!

If it wasn't for the fact that we are still in July, I wouldn't had been bothered; but, nature is interfering with the time of the year its suppose to be warm and muggy! Unless nature will make up for this during the indian summer (in October), she better warm things up quickly! I don't put up with the horrible winters here so that my time of the year is ruined with non-summer like weather!

What do you say Cambium? Will summer return tomorrow? If not, for the weekend at least?

My personal opinion? We wont see a strong long lasting heat wave again until next year.
We'll still see a couple of 90s but the heat and humidity are done for long stretches.
You dont want to know what the latest Euro showed.

I think we'll be seasonable for this weekend but even that might feel chilly now since we're used to being torched all month. Saturday is the better day of the weekend. Sunday chance of showers.

For those who want to know (including myself of course)...

Here's the Euro00z Data for BDL and BAF. A cold run for sure.

Says today doesnt get out of the 60s again
850mb temps into the single digits(C°) (40sF) on Tuesday
Max temps staying in 70s (F°) the whole run to next Friday

Maybe we are going back to our Spring pattern or cooler temps. Then again... it's just one run (I think)
