CT Weather coming up.

Monday afternoon and night - Chance of showers.
Wednesday afternoon and night - Better chance of heavier rain and wind

Seasonable temps but I think Tuesday and Thursday will be the warmest nearing mid 80s in spots.

Pretty much a Status quo drink with an unsettled twist this week. Which means more clouds then sun.

Want interesting? Head west to central U.S. Major heat wave. Maybe a week worth of 90s in spots and 3 days of 100s in spots.

Actually, I've seen some reports saying that you may see 90 in BDL on Tuesday which would break the streak. The official prediction is as you say mid 80s though. There's also talk of a possible 90 next Sunday, but that would be Sept. 1.

I saw that a few times but I think it will be tough. Real feel possible for 90.

Latest GFS showing 87° for BDL Tuesday. Clouds might be the issue in the afternoon that would prevent 90.

And snowy.

2014 Long Range Winter Forecast | Farmers' Almanac

The arctic has been gaining ice fast and a lot this year... Snow cover last year this time was way below normal and this year its at normal just a nudge above normal. With a colder then normal Arctic and above normal snow that will help drive the polar air masses colder. All depends on the setup. Asia, Europe or North America getting those polar air masses.

I feel like if it will be, it'll be late.

For some reason I can't help but thing early winter will be warmer/moderate compared to usual. When was the last couple times we had a super warm early summer and a super cool late summer? For some reason, and I could be misremembering, but I remember something like this summer being followed up by a nice, warm December/January...

Really early autumn too, it seems. Seeing a bunch of trees with leaves turning already here in NH County.

Frankly I don't think anything has anything to do with anything when it comes to weather trends more than 2 weeks out. I mean in late spring when it was cool and wet did ANYBODY predict a scorching July? And after a scorching July did anybody predict a cooler and drier than normal August.. ? And people want to predict what will happen 5 months from now? Heh..take a dart and throw it at a board blindfolded..you have just as good a chance at being right.
