Hey guys, just be thankful. I just realized that about the same latitude as Bridgeport 41°N at North Platte, NE, they have had 14 days of temps that hit 90°+ out of the last 18 days including 4 100s!

Might be cool to watch for you shoreline folks. I am a few miles inland in Branford with a excellent view of the south. I am going to try and view this.

A unique NASA launch is occurring tonight, and we should be able to see part of it in the Tri-State! From its flight facility at Wallops Island, VA, NASA will launch a rocket carrying #LADEE, a car-sized probed that will study the moon's surface and atmosphere. Currently, the weather looks favorable for us to witness part of the rocket's ascent on the southern horizon. For more details, see our graphic and the following link!

Cam- Any way you can pull up KHVN rainfall in August? I am really close to the airport and have gotten little to no rain. Last weekend it was practically bone dry the entire weekend. Every storm and band of rain passed just north of here.

Think about that... 4 weeks and not even 1/2" has fallen with 1 storm or front.

Seems like it hasn't rained lately. Here's my precip totals past 3 months

9.39" - Well above
3.39" - Average
3.02" - Average

But looking at the whole pie all the little accumulations over the summer add up.

Lets go to the video tape.......

These maps factor in co-op sites.

Precip departures June, July, August, and meteo summer. Take a look.

Look at SouthWestern CT July and August...Below normal. But as a whole summer, CT had above normal precip

Yup.. only 2.10" for them in August.

I love KBOX page here. F6 Data for 72 locations. http://www.erh.noaa.gov/box/dailystns.shtml

Yes..nice night to see the rocket. Head to the beach or find a park or roof and bring a sweatshirt.

Bottomed at 48.5° today. Lowest since May 28th. So it took 102 days to get to this temp again. Brideport stayed in the 50s again. NYC shows 59 here and LaGuardia 62.

6:15am temps.

Absolutely gorgeous weather out there. Cold weather is just around the corner. Birds are starting to fly south.

Cam- Any 30's in the model's? Itching to light the stove.... Was up at 7am and hand split a half cord. It was soo nice out I barely broke a sweat.
