From KBOX: Sunday night will be the coolest night of the weekend.

For comparison (since so many use it as a "benchmark"), Central Park's low was 54. By the way, any idea if Provincetown (Cape Cod) stayed above 60 and "beat" LGA? It was 62 when LGA was 58....

If PVC is the station then yes...it hit 61 as the low. Check the date when clicking this link because it will update. Just click on the 2nd page at the top for previous day.

I fell to 53.1 F this morning. I doubt Provincetown beat LGA - SST in Mass Bay off Boston area already below 65 F I think (?). As of this morning NWS Bridgeport MMT has fallen to just +1.4 F. I'll bet it will go under +1 F once they average in this mornings low and the two cool nights (sun/mon).

Default GFS Tuesday Morning Temps

GFS has 30s making it to northern tier of CT for Tuesday morning.. It was looking like Sunday night was going to be the coolest night but now its looking like Monday night.

In any case... Thats A lot Of 30s on the map for September!

I actually find that map to be a bit hard to believe. I know there can be big differences between the coast and inland, especially in fall, but 40 degrees? I don't see 30s in norther CT translating to 70s on the coast, more like mid-upper 50s. If we were comparing the coast to Saranac Lake in upstate NY's Adirondacks (which were 26 degrees the other day) then maybe. And eastern LI is usually (despite the ocean influence) not the ultimate warmest lows of the area, it shows it as 20 degrees warmer than NYC. I think the upper 50s to near 60 it shows for NYC is about what LI and the CT coast would bottom out in an upper 30s inland scenario.

Thats probably because the GFS isnt High Resolution like the Euro and NAM so the maps arent as "clean" (especially for coast situations).

I was surprised we didnt get warmer today. I thought the coast would hit upper 70s at least. Man this trough is working magic.

Aside from the chance of rain, I think the more interesting story is the very Cool nights coming up... Back after the first cold night I said 3 more times... Will this be the third or forth? I lost track.

This is from latest NAM. Has 30s getting into areas of CT Sunday night.

Location ....... Monday Lows... Tuesday Lows
WINDSOR LOCKS ..... 42° ........... 43°
BRIDGEPORT ........... 51° ........... 53°
DANBURY ............... 39° ........... 41°
GROTON ................ 44° ........... 47°
HARTFORD ............. 45° ........... 47°
NEW HAVEN ........... 45° ........... 49°
WILLIMANTIC ......... 39° ........... 41°

Another day of boat plans ruined.

My phone/the weather guys - were saying 79 and beautiful today, all the way up untill 8amish this morning. I had plans in stone and then at 11am clouds rolled in, never got about 68 and the day was done.

Sigh.
