Yeah, I think it fooled a lot of people. Wow. I find it interesting for sure..

Radar shows area of convection popping up in NorthEast NJ and Southern NY. Lets see if any develop in CT or if the line survives across. Moisture moving in direction of arrows.

Funny part is the cloud/sunny line set up right along the Bronx-Westchester line......was watching how sunny it was at Yankee Stadium on TV while me just 10-15 miles to the north was quite overcast 90+% of the time, so I assume it was the same and then some for all of CT. Reflecting that, I think from Newark on south it was 80+.....

Heavy rains and storms entering Litchfield. Looks like the line survived. Marine Layer is always less at night. I wonder if its why we got more storms in the morning or at night. Maybe the sea breeze during the day is so strong.

Intense rain for 90 seconds or so, but not even a clap of thunder. We've probably seen the last of 80 degrees and thunderstorms at this point.

Seeing how low temps got in Central U.S and MidWest I wouldnt be surprised to see lows go below forecast in CT.

Uptons latest mentions frost. Western zones might have clouds from an approaching upper level shortwave so the clouds would prevent it but Eastern Zones might not. No precip expected with this shortwave.

So let me ask.... When was the earliest frost in CT??

.SHORT TERM /6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT/...
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO DROP INTO THE UPPER 30S ACROSS
PORTIONS OF THE NW ZONES AND THE PINE BARRENS REGION SUNDAY NIGHT
.
AT THESE TEMPERATURES...FROST IS A POSSIBILITY. HOWEVER ...NOT CONFIDENT TO PUT OUT AN ADVISORY JUST YET AS AN UPPER LEVEL SHORTWAVE WILL BE APPROACHING FROM THE WEST. NO PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED AS SUBSIDENCE FROM HIGH PRESSURE SHOULD PROTECT US...BUT
THERE WILL BE AN INCREASE IN CLOUDINESS...ESPECIALLY FOR THE NW
ZONES. THESE CLOUDS COULD PREVENT THOSE ZONES FROM DROPPING AS LOW
AS WHAT IS CURRENTLY FORECAST. THOUGH EASTERN ZONES...SUCH AS
EASTERN SUFFOLK COUNTY WHICH WILL BE FARTHER AWAY FROM THE
APPROACHING SHORTWAVE MAY NOT SEE CLOUDS INCREASE IN TIME...SO IF
ANY PART OF THE CWA WERE TO SEE FROST...THAT AREA WOULD BE MORE
LIKELY TO SEE IT. AFTERNOON PACKAGE WILL REEVALUATE THE POTENTIAL
FOR FROST.

Cambium,

Any major weather systems on the horizon like what we had last Tuesday or what we had on 4/22? I'm itching to fly again in weather similar to what we had that day but with ceilings in the 300 to 1000 ft range.

I'm not at all happy about the mostly sunny weather we are supposed to have the next several days

Mostly clear sky conditions, light winds, and a dry airmass will lead to a cool overnight and morning as we head into the new work week. Here are the forecasted morning low temperatures across our service area for Monday. Some locations across the interior may fall into the upper 30s!
