Anyone has any idea how 116 to ridgefield is in terms of traffic, weather etc. we are looking at ridgefield to possibly buy a home and my husband will commute to white plains. For some of the houses we are looking in ridgefield ( I believe this is the northern part), he will have to take 116 after I-684. The road is usually empty when we have driven there- so trying to see how the traffic will be during office hours in the am and pm. What about in winter? To those parts of ridgefield, 116 is the only route, I think.

Without traffic, it is a 20 minute commute to I-684. Can we expect the same during rush/ work hour or will it be more? We are trying to see if ridgefield will work for us..any advice/help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've gotten in some very minor traffic on that road. No more than a 5 minute delay. Just a backing up of cars. YMMV and I would wait to hear from someone that makes the drive every day.

Stylo,

Thanks. that is exactly What I am looking for. It would probably be a deal maker/breaker for us with regard to ridgefield.

It is an easy commute. I lived south of the high school off 116 when I lived in Ridgefield. Try going to Golden's Bridge on 684 instead of Purdy's; much easier.
