Whether a Westchester commute is feasible depends on where you're commuting to. If it's to someplace in Northern Westchester, that would probably work, but to central or southern Westchester would be pretty tough.
I moved here from Westchester 14 years ago. We love it here. The schools are excellent!! Many beautiful parks....lots of stores but kept with New England charm....community events.....close to highway.....
