Has anyone else noticed the increasing traffic this year on 91 between
Hartford and Bradley? The traffic at rush hour has gotten a lot worse than last year
and where there the road was almost empty at non rush hour, right now it's pretty
crowded?

Some one was suggesting that maybe more jobs were created but I'm
not sure about that

I travel it every day and definitely notice it. And 91S just north of Hartford is always backed up.

I was really surprised how much traffic the Hartford area had when I commuted there a month ago. 84 was a parking lot at 4 PM, and the traffic on 91 was very slow going well past Rocky Hill and Wethersfield. Drivers were a little more courteous than other areas of the state, but the congestion is definitely there.

I noticed in the last 2 years that Hartford's rush hour slowly moved from 8AM to 7 AM also. I used to be one of the first people in my lot at 7:30 last year. This year I am far from it when I get there at 7:00.

I noticed this too. One possible explanation is that a number of companies have relocated to the Windsor area (exit 38). ING is one of those companies. There has been a lot of growth in the Day Hill Rd area of Windsor.

In the past that stretch of I-91 north between Hartford and Windsor was empty in the morning.

I've also noticed that rush hour in the Hartford area has started earlier in the AM + PM. Seems to start around 7am and 3:30pm now.

The traffic from Springfield to past Rocky Hill on 91n and south has really gotten heavy over the last 2 years. Don't really know the cause but I am not liking it.
