I went down Route 1 this morning...there seems to be an increase in activity in the boatyards between Westbrook and the Lymes. I live 7.6 feet above sea level, so I really hope Sandy turns out to sea...

Funny how the western edge of the cone follows the Euro while the eastern edge follows the GFS. NHC splitting the difference?

Step one in this tiring process. Prevent gutter overflow to fall directly near Foundation and pitch the grade more

I'll clean gutters one last time on Saturday. Falling Leaves are going to clog up everyones gutters leading to more flooding.

Put all emergency kits in one location in a room.

Mow lawn and leaves to make clean up easier. Then its time to buy some water and goods.

Secure tarps over firewood.

4 main hurricane models by the NHC are shown here.

Notice the snow reports in the west and notice the Cat2(HWFI) into Rhode Island. A bit worried looking at this since the middle is CT.

If the strength continues all the way up, which it might since there's no land interaction, the storm surge into Del Marva and NYC will be much worse than Irene.
