Hi,

I would be moving to stamford mid Nov, I've havent had the chance to go there.. (I'm currently in switzerland), since I don't know that much I would like having a temporary furnished flat or might be a roomate for up to 3 months until I found my final place..

abt the flats someone knows good Quality not that expensive temporary flats ideally closer to the downton or a good company to get one??..
Also in switzerland due high prices was quite common peple rent theri flats/rooms when they have longs holydas is the same US someone know where to find adds?
Or would be possible get a roomate for short time??

If possisble at the begging I would like living near downtwon stamford..

Hmm. I'd recommend checking "craigslist" in Stamford for sublets/temporary housing. There should be several postings. You may also want to check this posting on craigslist, for example: http://newyork.craigslist.org/fct/sub/441672528.html (broken link) .

I live in Stamford also, and this particular listing is about 1 mile from my house. Stamford is a super safe, well-off, quiet yet thriving and growing city full of major corporations, and a very high quality of life. Downtown Stamford is growing by leaps and bounds--with a new Trump Tower luxury hi-rise, a Highgrove Tower luxury highrise, and a Ritz-Carlton hotel/condos either under construction or planned. RBS also is building its North American headquarters in Stamford. You are moving here at a great time.
Also, Stamford is a short 44 minute train ride to Manhattan. It's super convenient.
