Anyone else stuck in the huge traffic mess tonight approaching exit 69, eastbound? I'm curious to know what the issue was (rush hour traffic is almost never an issue, so I doubt it was volume). Along with a few hundred other vehicles, I exited at 68 and it took me 15 minutes to go 3 miles to get home via the back-roads

Many people seem to get freaked out around those exits by the steep grade-and the trucks always have to slow down to about 50 or so--thereby creating a pretty hazardous situation.

Nevermind. Couldn't find anything on the DOT website (shocker ), but it's on the Courant's site:

Multi-Car Crash Closes I-84 In Tolland - Courant.com

Amazing that things like this don't happen more frequently, given the quality (or lack thereof) of our infrastructure

There are green leaves on the trees in your image, so that was not today.

Sorry to hear that but I don't see anything about this accident on the news, and this post was months ago. When did this happen?

Edit to Add: Nevermind, found it. Very sad.
