So Cabela's opened this morning in East Hartford. Is anyone making the trek this weekend to see what all the hoopla is about? I suppose today isn't the best day given the football game in the same spot, but should be interesting to check it out soon. Hopefully a good boost for that area.

We have one in PA and I think my husband just signs his check over to them! The kids like going too - it's great. We got a beagle puppy last year and named her Cabela!
Enjoy your shopping

Thanks - we're planning on taking the kids when things calm down a little more over there. Should be fun.

Between the opening of Cabela's and the opening of Crate & Barrel at Blue Back Square in West Hartford, it will be a real great weekend to shop. We probably won't check out either for some time. Let all of the hub-bub die down. Jay

We went today. The store is HUGE!!! It took us about 3 hours (with eating) to do the 2 floors. Fun, lots to see for the kids.
