I just checked the CTDot map. Nothing is listed as closed. I also looked at traffic cams and traffic appears to be flowing in both directions. Do you have a link to the reported closure or have they already reopened?

They must have reopened it, it was closed earlier this morning. This ice and rain is causing this to just get worse and worse. Be safe on the roads people.

plows have shown up steadily since last night and the driving area has now been widened but they still didn't get rid of that pile behind me. i figured bad back and all that i would have to dig my car out the rest of the way myself. was out there for about 1hr 15min but was eventually able to maneuver my car into the clear space next to me which allowed me to reach the driveway (leaving the pile behind me intact). i then parked in an already cleared spot so the plow can clear where i was next time he shows up. and my back stood up to the pressure too so that was a bonus.
still haven't ventured out though. probably tomorrow when i start running out of stuff and more spots are cleared so i'll have a place to return to.

Merritt was an absolute breeze this morning southbound to NY. Nice and clear too.
I'm really hoping that a plow shows up on my complex today.......as of this writing, no one has showed up yet.

School was out for almost a week, and the snow drifts had gone up well over 8 feet; many of us had to literally dig our way out of our homes through windows at elevations higher than our doors.

This storm, while significant, and historic, and monumental, and impressive, was no '78. Also, back in 1978, our storm was SO impressive, it didn't need no stinkin name
I thought they named the '78 storm Blizzard Larry? I was 10 at the time and I remember my mom wrote "Blizzard Larry!" on our calendar.
