Meanwhile, they have that stupid "revolutionary" commercial, which is aired on networks across the nation. I've seen it during my travels over the winter.

I hope this doesn't actually shock anyone.

#1 is Texas, #50 is California.

Main difference is taxes and regulations. Shocking that businesses would want lower taxes and less regulation. Not a good thing for the state overall.

The thing is, Connecticut, New Jersey, California, Mass, Illinois and New York are in the top worst - and much of the country's business is conducted in those states!

It's the damndest thing, isn't it? We're such cesspools, yet the mass exodus never occurs.

As long as population centers of educated/qualified people exist here. They're kind of one and the same.

A vast amount of Texas state tax expenditures go to sweetheart tax breaks for corporations there. I guess picking winners and losers is OK in red states.

Honesty. I'd rather have taxes that benefit the masses rather than giving tax breaks and deregulating businesses. Anyone who thinks that businesses will regulate themselves and do the right thing on their own at the expense of profit is absolutely insane. Regulation only exists becasue businesses, lare and small, have shown that, in most cases, they can't be trusted to do the right thing.

I looked at that link, and no where does it say how they arrived at the ratings for the state. It only says they polled CEOs and executives.
