Looking into moving to Ct. I have a 2yo old so I'm looking for something with history, walkable and safe, or safest since no place is safe haha, any recommendations would be great! Thank you!

Need a little more detail than that. Budget, work location, other preferences.

No budget yet, I'm hoping to go to school for nursing, so somewhere around a major hospital or outside city of major hospital.

It's really difficult to assist you without a budget. Connecticut is very expensive compared to many places in the US and in some places you couldn't find a decent two bedroom for under $1800 a month.

There are a number of nursing programs around Hartford and at the community colleges. Without know anything else I might recommend Manchester as a starting point.

BTW: Yes, most places in Connecticut ARE safe.

Yale New Haven has the biggest network for healthcare in the state. Yale Nursing School is one of the best in the country. They're actually moving to Orange/West Haven soon. There's also Gateway Community College and SCSU in New Haven, and Quinnipiac in Hamden for nursing.

So, you may want to look into the New Haven area.

Good suggestions. New Haven is as walkable as Connecticut gets. Lot's of nursing opportunities.

Default Reply to where to live

Glastonbury is a great town, but very expensive to live in. It is not too far from Hartford Hospital. New Haven does have Yale, but you have to know the good areas to live in - I'm not as familiar with that area.

I like the new haven area, budget under $150k if possible, looked at the nursing program new haven offered and even the hospital alone sounds great as far as benefits. Any other places like New Haven?

Any house you find for $150,000 in the New Haven area will be small, outdated, and in a less desirable location.
