I don't know what they were doing on 84, but the other day took me 30 minutes to travel from exit 11 (34) to exit 9 (25 in Brookfield). 84 is usually good, but when there's an accident or construction, damn that road does not move.

No. It's always terrible during rush hour(3:00pm to 6:30). Especially on a friday afternoon. Usually a major backup near danbury and then again in waterbury and then again a major backup in hartford. Just check google maps daily around rush hour and look at all that red. It's the same everyday The worst is around hartford.

Today on the highway there were at least 10 occasions where I was stuck behind someone doing about 5 miles per hour below the speed limit...IN THE LANE FARTHEST TO THE LEFT. A couple of them involved me and someone else on a virtually empty road with them in the center lane going about 60-65 and me approaching them from behind in the left lane at about 85 MPH. Both times, as I was about to pass them on the left, they darted into my lane with about 2 car lengths to spare! One of them was a new jersey plate...hmmm. I just had my brakes replaced and they were definitely tested this morning thanks to these maniacs this morning. I'm tired of people who aren't police but are willing to injure (or possibly kill) themselves and other people, just to control who goes what speed.

Jersey drivers are known to do this. One time a Jersey driver explained it all -- "why are you in rush to go somewhere? I will teach you a lesson, and fry your brakes in the meantime." Plenty of Jersey drivers have malice. They should be banned from crossing the GW Bridge. They're like cockroaches they pop everywhere with their blings.

JC, we have to put up with this crap for 2 years!!

O&G made the southbound right lane between 37 and 36 too narrow.

Maybe this explains why i've been seeing a much larger number of troopers on the parkway in the past few days?

There is no more shoulder there now...... If there is an accident, we are screwed.
At least the work times don't crossover into my commute times. That would make an already awful commute worse.

We were on 91 NB yesterday around Middletown and some dude in a white box truck was driving crazy. Just tailgating people for fun, literally a foot off their rear bumper. And not like he wanted to pass, the left lane was totally clear. Just some ass playing games at 70 MPH. After he passed us, I just hung back because I figured it was 50/50 he would wreck, especially with the winds yesterday. But we ended up getting off the highway first.

Never seen that before!
