Hi, I really need advice and help. Because of an injury at work for the last 3 months I am losing my apartment.
I am hiring a lawyer but that will take few months to see any money. By the way, the injury happened because of company negligence. Anyway, with 500 in the bank how can I get a place or even house sit homes or any idea you guys can help me with. Thank you.

Contact the Dept. of Social Services. Click on the link, then scroll way to the very bottom of the page to get their address and phone number. They can help you.

Based on what you've said your lawyer may also be able to stay the eviction... I would pursue that route as well.

What I also got was they havent paid the rent for 3 months and now looking for another "free" place to live. I hope the property doesnt go into pre foreclosure. I also hope the OP feels better but wondering what happened to company disabilities or workmans comp if they were injured "on the job".

If what the OP said is true, than her company is breaking the law-- Workman's comp is not optional for on the job injuries. The landlord will be made whole-- IF what she ways is true.

If the OP needs a lawyer then the workplace is obviously fighting the workmans comp claim.

Craigslist would be your best bet with finding a roommate or a quick place to stay and pay weekly. Sublet maybe?
